I can't believe I'm saying this, but that surgery trip has to be one of the most fun things I've ever done. I was so glad to meet you and your mom as well as everyone else. The weather was beautiful, the hotel was beautiful, and it was just trippy to sit around eating our broth afterwards and really enjoying the whole thing. My husband has said that usually if I haven't eaten I get really cranky, but he said I was unbelievably pleasant the whole trip. :) It still feels like a dream, and I am all for a reunion if I can get the $$ together!!

Loved your photos and reading the notes.... While I had a different surgeon and different Hotel, it brought back memories of my experience. Mine was similar w/ meeting sleeve sisters and basically feeling like a vacation instead of a surgical visit. So glad you had such a positive experience.

A reunion...we'll work it out somehow! So glad to have met u guys!!

we are the 3 amigos of sleeve sisterhood hahahaha seriously for everyone getting ready to get sleeved, it SO helps if you can connect with one or two people through the forums, especially if they are going to be staying at the same hotel. I was so lucky to have these other 2 ladies to bond over stomach gurgling and burping with me hahaha walk walk walk sip sip sip! and we are keeping in touch and comparing notes as we progress through post op diet :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
