Cloe and Argon stop that now behave.:zip: Hang in there Argon, maybe you should just enjoy what you can now Mandi, without over doing it, until you get your fill.

I am on mushies and loosing 2 lbs a week, but the time seems to be dragging before I go on solids. Funny though, I am not hungry and haven't had my first fill yet. Wonder why I would need a fill if this keeps up. How is everyone else making out? Doddie

Maybe you'll end up being one of those people Doddie... but probably not! Things will change. You'll either start being able to eat alot more, stop losing, or start getting really hungry, then realize, it's time!

Congrats on doing so well so far though, I hope it keeps going so well :)

Hi Mandi: Know you are right. I should enjoy how I am feeling for the moment. Get my first fill April 24th and wondering how it will go. I am comfortable and to interrupt my comfort zone and maybe have problems does give the worry wart sydrome.

Your 102.4 looks absolutely great. Have you had serious problems in your journey?

Doddie

No, I wouldn't say I've had any problems.

(ok, some might think the defill was a problem, but I don't)

What I am concerned about is that at present, with no fill, I have restriction when I eat mushies (probably too fast). When I am told the usual first fill is 4 ccs (Fr. Midband) I wonder if that will be too tight. It has to be correct when I leave Toronto, as my doctor has never done it before and he is not open on the weekends. Doddie

I was done by TLBC in September and my first fill was 4ccs. I am at 5ccs now and I am going in for a fill on Thursday. Others in my graduating class have more fill but I am sensitive to being filled.

When you go in for your fill, Doddie, they will make you wait and sip Water afterward. This is in order to see if you are too tight. If you are, they will remove some of the fill while you are still there. This has happened to me.

Going in for your first fill is kinda fun. You get to meet others who are in your graduating class - that is to say, others who were lapbanded around the same time as you were - and while you are sitting around and sipping water you will end up swapping stories. :) It is a lot of fun.

Big NSV tonight for me. Had to shop for business pants cuz mine are too big. I have dropped not one but TWO pants sizes!!!! I am sooooo excited about this. The scale has been moving very slowly for me, but this is the positive re-inforcement I needed. I can't wait for the day I clean my whole closet out and drop it into a donation box. This is too cool!

My work pants are loose on me as well. Which is surprising because I have not lost that much weight. Guess it is time to measure myself. :biggrin1:

Anyway I should get new work pants and things but I don't really want to because I worry that in a couple months I will become too small for those and have to buy new ones all over again. I think I am going to try to hold out as long as I can.

I hope I still have some smaller sizes hanging around from when I lost weight a couple years ago with WW. :(

me, me! At the fill yesterday, the gal asked me how much I weighed, cause she needed it for my chart. I said ____ (which is my old weight plus all I've gained since the defill), and she looked at me suspiciously and asked if I was sure, and I said yes. Then she said "You carry it well." :omg: That was nice. I guess I always have, but I never think so.

So, yay for not looking your weight!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
