  • That's not happening for a long time. Most NUTs don't suggest veggies until 4 months out, and carbohydrates like bread, for most of us, are off the menu for life. At least for me that are with the pot

Lmao...the day before surgery I was on a beach drinking champs and munching on cheese (which was actually on my preop diet). I like the way you think!

My preop diet is supposed to be Protein shakes/bars and lean/green for dinner so I'm thinking the purchase of a green champagne flute and some yummy cheese (hey, it's protein and I'll buy lower fat !) will keep me from being a liar when my surgeon asks if I cheated ! STELLAR idea Iggy!!!

My preop was just to stay below 40 g carbs a day...which works out to steak and eight glasses of wine (more if it's a dry brute champ) :). Kinda reminded me of the red wine and jelly belly diet.....no fat :P. heh heh.

I eat bread occasionally, but it's toasted whole wheat or multi-grain... Fried foods are out! I don't miss that at all. The thought of fried foods makes me nauseous @ 10 months out & I'm happy about that! I don't want to go back to my old ways! Good luck.

I'm 1 1/2 years out and I eat anything I want , I just don't eat much of it anymore because there's not much space there. I've even eaten crap food for a week to test this thing lol. I was tired but I didn't gain any weight. I really think its impossible almost for me to gain weight. I never fluctuate more than within 2 pounds. I weigh 145.
