  1. You look AWESOME! Inspiration to say the least. I've got a question did your weight fluctuate at all in the first month?
  2. I think I will try that @ fallenangel I might even add so refried beans to boost the protein
  3. I was really craving a cheese burger and the Boca burger satisfied that . I'm only 3 weeks out and couldn't eat it all but I enjoyed the few bites I had ))
  4. TVP ? It a vegatarian alternative for meat so I guess it would fall under that term ( although I've never heard of it)
  5. I've been living off the strawberry and cream shakes from GNC not bad at all!
  6. Its like ground beef except its soy. I had it tonight as a subtitute to the "real" spaghetti that my family was eating. I have to be honest it wasn't the best in that dish. Never the less full of protein
  7. Wow I'm 3 weeks out on soft foods and I'm doing very well. Hang in there I know it must be tough , I went crazy on clear liquids for a week. Just remember this too shall pass, next month will be easier ! Good luck
  8. I've enjoyed the boca burger with cheese and the meal starters. I may only be able to tolerate 5-6 small bites but they are protein packed and very soft ( in the soft food phase) . Finding foods that I like has been hard but these taste good to me
  9. I was smoking he stopped me from smoking the whole thing boy do I feel it today heartburn central!!!
  10. Omg that stuff is dangerous
  11. I took Ambien last night and my husband said he stopped me on two occasions from smoking a entire cigarette. I promise I have NO memory of this now I'm scared to death that I may have harmed myself! Any advice?
  12. I was very honest with my 7,5 and 3 year old. I told them that I was going to get some of my tummy removed so that I could loose weight and be a healthier mommy for them . Believe it or not they really understood what was happening. My 3 year old would say we going to have a kinny mommy hence my name on this site. They even know I couldn't pick them up and that they could jump on me . They say mommy can't eat that when we are having dinner or they are snacking on things.
  13. I would say you're going to need help. My husband was with me around the clock the first four days . Your weak and sore and for some (I was) in pain . I consider myself to be a pretty tough woman (3) 8.5 kids with no meds , breast reduction used no pain meds but this surgery was difficult and I NEEDED the help.
  14. I mean a meal like chicken and string beans or cucumbers , a ham sandwich or a salad
  15. Two weeks out SICK of the food choices I have . Please tell me when will I be able to eat normally?
  16. I couldn't consume 150 carbs right now if I wanted to . I mean you can only eat a few bites of anything. You guys had a point , I will admit I had a rough time getting dinner to settle , I had to run a mile literally to digest it. I'll be back on the protein shakes in the morning. Dang this first month is hard . I think I'll wait until week five to start eating solids again as I was told . Forgive me guys I'm a little hard headed
  17. I'm going to give my doc a call in the morning!
  18. DES1975 you comment hit home I will start sticking to the diet. No leaks for me and I have no time to be back in the hospital. I'm a little rebel, but it's not worth my health. Thanks for the sound advice!!
  19. I know I shouldn't but 4 of my friends are also sleeved and they started real food ealier than I and are all doing well , one of which has lost 90 pounds in 6 months I feel for my fellow sleevers that are starving
  20. I'm very mindful of carbs my NUT said I need at least 150 every day and I'm sure I'm there. As far as protein I'm getting in about 50-60 grams everyday. I need to do better with water it seems like I do better at work with the water becuase I'm sipping all day.
  21. No I'm a hard head I'm suppose to be on puréed at this point. I have been doing alot of soups and protein shakes but I wanted some nourishment some "real " food so I ate it and I feel great . I do alot of exercise 2 hours on the treadmill broken into two parts 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening and all is good and my scales are still going down grow 247 to 215.5 this morning
  22. I had mashed potatoes the night before surgery and didn't tell my surgeon anything about it. When I went back a week later he said my sleeve was the best he had ever done ... Lol
  23. My surgery was on August 14th I can eat anything my family eats just in smaller portions. I just had baked chicken stuffing and red potatoes. I had the amount that my three year old eats about an hour ago and I feel great. Yesterday I ate half of a crab cake with ease and even had some (3) pita chips with hummus and I felt full but no pain. I wonder if I should call my NUT and ask am I'm over doing it or should I continue as I feel great ?
  24. @ china sleeve we are back to our regularly scheduled programming and no shoulder pain for me
