Slight change of plans......due to finding Barrett's on my endoscopy two days ago (no symptoms), I will now have RNY instead of sleeve on Wed. Oct 24th. A small hiccup in the grand scheme

My battle wounds itch' date=' anyone have any suggestions on a cream I can use?[/quote']

My surgeon said no scar creams for 21 days but when mine were itching and driving me crazy, I used a tiny bit of SiverSol gel or the anti itch gel. They can really make you crazy before they heal!

Be careful with whatever you use. If you have steri-strips, it can make them come off early and if you are dermabonded, it can react with the glue. Just placing something cool on the area will help relieve the itch temporarily ;) I take a cold drink can or cold Soup can and just lay it on mine.

Just got back home from hospital. Went to ER last night with a fever , pain , dizziness and nausea. Had chest xrays , CT scan , massive amounts of blood work. And was readmitted.

My lungs were having trouble opening up as much as they should.

Finally glad to be home. Have gas pains and bubbles but am walking around and having ice pops and gas x strips.

My surgeon said at my 1 week post op that its ok to get them wet and that may help the itching and to put a Vitamin E cream on the incisions

Had my surgery on 10/16. I came home last night. The worse thing for me so far is being so tired all the time. I'm trying to get all my liquids in but feel like I'm failing at that. My stomach keeps rumbling even if I'm not hungry. Is there something I can do to help with the rumbling?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
