I have a tiny band in a smaller size that I slide onto my finger. It keeps my other rings from falling off, but it doesn't keep it from rotating.

My ring has been slipping off my finger

diochick

my ring has been loose for awhile

when home, gym, PT - i don't wear my wedding ring

going out to friends, dinner et al - i put the ring back on, and i'm aware of it, even make it more secure by periodically putting hand on ring, securing it

as i'm approach goal, i will get it resized shortly

if you have more to lose - i would make a necklace or Bracelet holding the ring, (someone earlier suggested that) it is safer that way - no worry about loosing ring - later resize.

good luck

Due to my weight gain, I had to put my ring in my jewelry box because i always told myself that I would loose the weight. Ha, I never did. Short story short, I have had rings fall off my finger in the weight loss process and I don't wear a wedding ring now. I will buy one as soon as I know that I'm at my goal weight. I remember we use to wrap yarn around the rings that were too big so they wouldn't fall off. :)

Thanks for all the great tips, I'll have to stop by my jeweler and see what they can do. I don't want to take this one off, since it's technically my 2nd wedding ring (this one is just a white gold band) since I used to take my original one off daily, and it went missing. 3 years later it still hasn't turned up, so I'm a bit paranoid. Sadly I don't think one of the "smaller ring" ideas would work, since what I have now would be one of those type of rings. If they could soder those little balls in mine, that would be terrific!

This is a great topic...one that I needed to see what others where doing for also. I have my wedding ring and another ring that are getting too big. Thanks for putting this up there!

I know of a few options, I'm sure there are more. Places like Claire's sell ring reducers or size reducers (I can't remember what they're branded as). They're basically pieces of clear tube with a slit. You slip them onto your ring and it takes up the extra space.

You can also have metal sizing beads soldered into the inside of your ring. They're also supposed to keep your ring from spinning around on your finger.

I'm using a sort of spring thing I got from my jeweler. Mine had to be adjusted and soldered on (my wedding "ring" is actually three rings that stack up about a half an inch, so the standard clip/slip ones were too small). The standard ones are basically this:

They also make "clip on" versions like this:

I haven't come across a thread like this yet, so I was wondering what others have done to keep their rings on their fingers during the "inbetween" stage (post surgery, yet no where near goal). My ring has been slipping off my finger, there really isn't anything holding it in place. I don't want to go without it, and I don't want to pay for a jeweler to resize it, when in a few months the potential is there that it will need to be resized again. Any good quality products, or tips anyone can recommend? I've googled different products but everything just has such negative reviews, I don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work.

Thank you

I think you should all post pics of your wedding rings. For some reason, I love seeing others' rings. I think it's the variety & creativity, personal taste, etc. Just like I like to check out other women's shoes. :P Not in a weird fetish way...

"Dear Husband- since I am loosing all this weight and am a knockout hottie now.... im going to be getting LOTS of attention from the menfolk out there. Dont you agree that the best defense is a larger diamond.... you know.... to scare them away?"

if all of the women on this forum tried it.... I bet AT LEAST one of us would be upsizing a carat! :)

I too have this issue. My ring (s) flew off not long ago, I was devastated because my center stone has been in our family for years, my mother was the last one to have it, before she passed away she gave to my now husband who put the stone as a solitaire and bought a wrap as my wedding band, so I would need to pay for 3 sizings. He did tell me that I could get a new wrap, or a new setting all together when I hit goal!

I don't want to get my rings sized until I'm at or really close to goal. I don't want to resize them more than once. My rings are platinum, and I can't afford to keep doing them.

So, I went on Ebay and found a gorgeous set in CZ and white gold overlay. The set is so similar to my original in design. They're gorgeous. I paid less than $20 for the set! They look amazing.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
