I know everyone says its normal to get jitters...but this is out of control. I barley sleep and this surgery consumes my every conversation and thought. I guess I need a lil pep talk....only two DAYS!!!

That's normal. Had my surgery on Aug.14th and it's funny I wasn't nervous at all. Everything will be great, you will be ok. Try and stay busy that's what I did. My house has never been so clean. Make sure you keep posted how everything turns out. Good luck and sending you best wishes.

I'm having mine on the same day as well. I'm a bit nervous but mainly excited. I can't wait to get off the preop diet because I move straight to full liquids. Good luck, you'll do great!

Mine is on Tuesday In Salisbury md. I'm more excited than scared. Don't think about it and pause for a moment and paint the picture of your future.

My surgery is on Tues. and I'm excited right now but ask me tomorrow and Monday - who knows, But no matter what my emotions may try to say, my brain knows this is the right thing. I just made some Protein Shake popsicles for next week and I'm only reading the totally positive posts. I've read all the scary ones and gotten past that idea. I'm going to be fine. Period.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
