I am a 53 year old female who has struggled with my weight for many years. I, as many of you have yo-yo'd and lost the same 50 plus lbs a zillion time over. I lost 63 lbs in 2003 and bought myself a mini cooper as my weight watchers reward. I thought I had finally arrived and then slowly it started creeping back. I quit smoking and of course food tasted better. I am now having difficulty walking up steps without getting out of breath. This journey I am taking is with heavy heart. I feel like I have been defeated. I try to exercise and eat right and I lose a few pounds. But it never stays off for long. I have been tested for thyroid and all tests come back as thyroid is normal. I saw a commercial on tv one morning for the sleeve an as we say the rest is history. I am so excited and very nervous at the same time. This decision has had much thought and prayer. This is my journey.................
