I'm scheduled for surgery on 9/11. I'm supposed to fly to NY from FL on 10/12 for my cousins wedding. I have to go. Will I be ok 4 weeks out? Or should I change my surgery date til after?

Yes! You will be fine.. I flew non-stop from San Diego to Baltimore one week after my surgery and I was good to go!! :)

Hell, at 4 weeks I was out running, doing yardwork, etc......

Best of Luck!!

Lol. Great to hear. The only thing that stinks is I'm going to be in Little Italy in NY and won't be able to eat. Ughhhh. Great timing on my part. ;)

I had my surgery on may 23rd then flew from San Diego to Springfield, Mo with a stop in Dallas on the 26th. Not a problem.

I was told if I take any long trips, or sit for more than 2 hours to get up and walk around every 2 hours to prevent blood clots as you are still in a healing process.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
