*help Getting Back On Track And Re-Motivated*

Recommended Posts

Hey sleevers

I'm a month past my 1 year Surgiversary and couldn't be happier right now.... 350lbs starting weight last July 20th and now weighed today at 230 (fluctuating between 227-233)!

I've got to admit that my eating is pretty crappy lately and getting to comfortable and always pushing my limits when I eat... (stuffed/cold sweats) and its with junk.... Also can find the motivation to get off my butt and start working out...

Would like to hear from everyone that has been in my shoes and what have you done to fix it!!!

Thanks everyone

????

DO you have a picture of yourself at 350lbs? Put it on the refrigerator. and it will make you a bit more motivated. you don't want to come back to that form again....

another thing. until you don't decide what you need to work out no one can help you. we always can find 1000 excuse not to do something, but try to play some game with yourself :)

choose something what you like. let say watch the movie or listen the audio book.... and tell yourself that you can do it only when you are on treadmill or on elliptic....

this works for me. I hate to do any work out.... but I decided that i can listen my audio books only on bike :) and believe me 30 min is fly fast....

I've hated working out all my life. I decided to try going to a gym. During the free trial period, I made myself go EVERY day. I was afraid that if I skipped a day for any reason other than illness, I wouldn't go back.

A free session with a trainer, set me up with an easy routine.

At first, I was dragging myself there, just wanted to 'get it over with'.

Then it became something I enjoy. I now have a membership and go, willingly 6 days a week.

The 'high' I feel afterwards, from the endorphins, is AWESOME. My energy has soared, it is easier to do the right thing, food wise, because I feel so much better.

This worked for me, hopefully you can find something that sparks you to get back on track.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
