Why is bread such a no-no? I get the calories and carbs, but is there a digesting issue?

bread Pasta and pizza will expand. If I am craving pasta I overcook it and onlly eat 1oz portion and it still takes me forever to eat it. I either add clams or chicken for the Protein. Pizza still bothers me. I eat the topping off of it and that is it. I have not eaten one piece of bread since surgery

I have almost no issues with eating. I can pretty much eat anything. I haven't had any vomiting or nausea -- not even in the hospital.

But I don't eat bread.

And I used to love bread. Since surgery, it fills me up very quickly (less than a single piece), and it hurts to be that full.

I can eat toast or hardened bread types, but even then, I don't eat a lot of it.

I am almost 10 weeks out and can eat bread. I don't eat much though because it takes up valuable space in my tummy that I would rather fill with something else.

I wouldn't and haven't touched it since way pre op! Along with rice, Cereal, Pasta, ANY kind of baked floury thing. I read over and over it slows weight loss- and it's not safe for ME to have those things at all.

I have lost 65 lbs- all post op since May 15. Lost 4 lbs pre op- so a total of 69 lbs. I think the no refined carb thing works best for me

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
