You've got a point. Maybe I'll buy one this weekend. I might be losing weight right now and not even realize it....

Also Green....if you aren't already....I HIGHLY recommend you take your measurements (once a month). That will also be a motivator...even if the numbers on the scale won't go down (or go down slowly) you will be amazed at the amount of inches you lose.

I measure my chest, waist, hips, right thigh, right calf and right bicep ...once per month. I have lost a total of 26.75 inches so far. I also take photos on the day I do measurements. If you are going to do this measurement thing....start now while you are still at the beginning.

If you are already doing it: yay you!

What a fantastic idea! I'm going to have to get myself a tape measure ASAP. My weight gain was kinda funny in that almost all of it is on my torso. My arms and legs are relatively skinny but my trunk has gotten bigger all over and I have the gut of a 8-months pregnant woman - with twins!

My weight gain, like my mother's, was primarily post-menopausal (I went through menopause when I was 41) and over the last two years it has really been accelerated by one of the drugs that they have me on for depression. A friend of mine who used to be one of those little skinny flat-chested women gained over 60 lbs on a similar drug. I would quit the drug and in fact did try but it seems that I need it.

I do like the idea of keeping track of my measurements and I should get into the habit of weighing myself, I guess. The truth is that I really want this band to work. I should use any and all tools that might help.

HI All,

I've been stuck the last couple weeks and the scales haven't budged but I didn't think of the inches. I had measured before BB and did it today - I've lost inches!! Yeah!! So even though the scales have stalled (I still can't keep off them) I can see the inches moving too. Got to keep the joy going. First fill is on 17 Oct. Baby steps......

That's great Angel Bear. My scale didn't move today either (my once weekly weigh in) but I did lose 4 inches (overall) since 30 days ago. So...yeah, it helps knowing that!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
