Insurance Approval....

Recommended Posts

Good morning all! I have completed all my doctors appointments, and my surgery coordinator will be submitting my paperwork to insurance this week. How long did it take to get your approval, and how long after approval did you have to wait for surgery!

I am a bit nervous!

I have BCBS of Rhode Island.

I had my last appointment two Thursday's ago and I called insurance last Wednesday and they said they received the info that day (6 days) then I got a call last Friday saying I was approved (3 days after submission) so it was 8 days after my last apt that I got the good news!

Good luck!

Can I ask how much they estimate the total being? I have an 80-20 plan and trying to sort things out.

For me, my out of network max is $2500 so I'm planning on that just because it is the max I can pay. But my coordinator said it shouldn't be over $1500 out of pocket for me. and I think I'm about $400 into the process so far including my surgery down payment. I budgeted $3500 for the entire process

I have BCBS of New Jersey - My information was faxed July 27th and I got approval today (August 6th) so 6 business days.

When I called my insurance company and spoke to the manager they said that once they begin processing it takes about 5 business days. I'm sure it varies state to state.

Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
