Dr Ponce De Leon And Coordinator Laurie $4600?

Recommended Posts

Trish was probably the most amazing coordinator anyone has ever had. She went above and beyond and never once trashed Dr. Kelly to me. She even said that what he did was mean and hurtful but that he still was a great surgeon and she still had love for him.

Furthermore, it is not Dr. Kelly with the alleged drug problem. It is his wife.

Then please inform Trish of Dr.Kelly's wife alleged drug problem because it was she who told me it was Dr.Kelly..

Well she never said anything like that to me.

All that I have heard of that has been hearsay.

And who knows? They may both have a drug problem (not saying either one does). Wouldn't be the first time a doctor with access to pills got addicted.

Then please inform Trish of Dr.Kelly's wife alleged drug problem because it was she who told me it was Dr.Kelly..

So is Dr Ponce 4500/4600 really?

I paid the "special" amount in May and booked through Laurie, May 15th do be exact was my surgery date. I wasn't short on money and Dr.Ponce accepted my cashiers check for 4,500.00.

The only money sent to Laurie is the depost and the remaining balance is paid to Dr.Ponce directly.

Laurie has been with Dr.Ponce long before Trish worked with him. Trish was associated with Dr.Kelly and burned her bridges with him... Trish just recently began working with Ponce... when you contact Trish she will tell you Dr.Kelly is a bad surgeon and has a drug problem. THAT'S why I chose not to go with Trish. Bad cut throat tactics.

I don't know where your getting your facts from but I don't mess around with bull I go straight to the source. Trish was with Dr. Kelly and Dr.Ponce way back when Dr. Ponce was training Dr. Kelly. That's right training Dr. Kelly. Lori has come on the scene as of late and wants to be Dr. Ponce one and only coordinator, if you want to talk cut throat then talk Lori. She has been given a ultimatum by Dr. Ponce. Trish did not burn her bridges Dr. Kelly did. When 2 different companies drop a Dr. there is something wrong with that Dr. And Dr. Kelly was dropped by coordinators with ethics. Trish (WLS) and Linda (a lighter me). Omar who was Trish's assistant now works for Dr. Kelly along with numerous other coordinators. Dr. Kelly is not allowed to work out of certain hospitals because he developed some questionable work ethics. Call the hospitals, do your research! I urge everyone to contact Trish as she is open and honest and does not run down Dr. Kelly. Dr. Kelly has done his own damage to himself. Trish is for the patient. So is Dr. Ponce. They are not into this business to gouge you for your pennys. They actually care and go out of their way for you.

Trish will be listed as his coordinator and pictured with him on their new website coming up soon. Good Luck and for God's sake do your research and ask the doctors questions, your life is on the line. PS You do not have to send Lori any money up front. Pay Dr. Ponce at the hospital.

This has become laughable...

Aren't there better things to do?? Like say working out? Working on ourselves. Trying to work through how we got obese anyway and not to become obese again.

The way I see it neither Trish or Laurie are feeding me, Fu**ing me or financing me so I could care less who does what to whom or who appears on the latest and greatest website for whatever Doc in Mexico.

I've had my surgery, I had a wonderful experience in Mexico and I am down 50 pounds with 20 more to go!

Blessings to you all!!!

I went to dr Ponce on June 15! I used trish though <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> she was great. Only difference is I had three nights in the hospital (I had a revision from band so I stayed an extra day) and the a night in the hotel lucerna (which would've been two nights if I didn't need the extra night in the hospital)' date=' and I must say that hotel was GORGEOUS!![/quote']

Our experiences are similar. I used Trish and stayed in hotel Lucerna! Love her loved the hotel.

I made the huge mistake of using Laurie. I sent her $500 for a deposit. She let me know a couple of days before my surgery that she would not be able to accompany me to Mexico because of her estate sale that was going on. She assured me that she would have a driver pick me up from my San Francisco flight and drive me in to Mexico. That is the only thing she did do. My friend and I had to coordinate with the hospital for a ride back to the airport. As we were in the hospital lobby waiting for the driver that the hospital arranged for us we saw Trish with her clients using her personal car to drive them to the airport. Apparently Trish lives in Mexico where as Laurie lives elsewhere. When I got back to the states I contacted Laurie and told her I felt like she needed to at least partially refund me the $500 I gave her. I don't feel like she earned it. She sent me texts telling me the check was in the mail but 6 months later I still have not received anything. These coordinators need to understand that some of us are a little apprehensive about going to a different country for a surgery in the first place and they shouldn't lie or flake out on us. Dr. Ponce and INT hospital were great and 6 months later I don't regret anything other than Laurie.

I would highly recommend Trish as a coordinator. She is the most down to earth kind of person. She took my husband out to eat while I was in surgery. And checked on me several times during the day and evening of my surgery. She was with me even at 8:30 at night! Helping me get through the first day. The second day she even let me use her "American" phone so I could call my kids and let them know I was OK. I can't say enough about how much she helped me and my husband. My surgery was at INT Hospital. It cost $5500 and was worth every penny!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
