Purees....

Recommended Posts

So I started my 3rd Week (Purees) yesterday and I am wondering what everyone else is eating and how many times a day are you eating. Also, how many Protein Drinks a day?

I have been enjoying my homemade Soup broths that I kind of don't want to let go of having soup. But, I also noticed I am starting to get hungry.

Can I get some input please.

Have you gotten to the point where you feel full? I haven't yet but, then again I have been mostly having broth.

I think I am so paranoid of stretching my stomach.

I eat hummus, applesauce, and baby food (check the sugars though).

I ate a ton of pureed turkey chili (no beans), cottage cheese (with a small scoup of polander sugar free blackberry spread - good fiber), shake or two a day, egg beaters with some fresh shredded parm cheese while cooking.

I wanted tuna and chicken salad, by my doc insisted it was like "apple sauce" and would fall thru the spoon, I just wasnt able to get it to that consistancy and then still have the stomach to eat it.

Yesterday I made refried Beans with some ff cheese and also made tuna (pureed) to bring into work today. So I had my refried beans and very little of tuna just to try it and five minutes later I got this horrible lower back pain. I dont know if it was gas or what it was but it didnt go away for about two hours. Now I am scared to eat. I have been having baby food and I was fine. Has this happened to anyone?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
