Anyone Newly Sleeved?

Recommended Posts

Hi all - I am newly sleeved as of June 29th. Going through a gambit of emotions and wondering if any of you have been through the same? I am not quite to the 50 yrs of age yet, but damn, I feel like a teenager with all the thigns I am feeling since doing this! I have so much to say but don't want to scare anyone off so I will start with the question about emotions and see what happens from here. So happy I found this website the other day during one of my wits-end crying episodes. HAHA I miss my water...like I used to you be able to drink it...not sipping but taking a real satisfying drink! Looking forward to hearing from someone. ;0)

i was sleeved July 3rd and I cry at times and smile at times...I do miss drinking Water or any liquid like I once wanted....and I think that I will never be able to eat like a non-sleeve person again (will I ever be able to eat cake? ice cream? pizza? )...but my blood pressure is better and I know this was the best thing I could do for myself. Life is change and this is one change I just need to get used to!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
