Restriction And The Pyloric Valve

Recommended Posts

I have yet to feel any restriction. My surgeon was surprised because he was worried he made my sleeve too small. He said I would feel the restriction once I moved on to dense food. Well yesterday I had 2 ounces of chicken and cucumber and Tomato salad. Nothing. COuld my pyloric valve not be working, i.e. it is too loose?

The other concern is that I have been getting light headed, mostly when I stand up. Everything turns black, my head is fuzzy and warm and today my hands were tingling. Should I be concerned? My surgeon said being light headed is normal but I do not want to faint.

Im not sure how far out you are, but you should be feeling something especially if you are eating dense Protein. Maybe you are still swollen?

I get the light headedness and blackness every now and then, the times I have had that happen I was low on fluids or calories, maybe thats why?

I needed at least 4 oz or a little more to feel restriction. The 1/2 cup measure seemed to fit the bill - and it is a feeling of pressure, it can get uncomfortable quickly. Later, it is my understanding that we can hold up to 1 cup of food. If you are tall, perhaps the length of your new stomach allows for a bit more. Try 4 or possibly 6 ounces and see if you feel restriction.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
