I had an appointment with my surgeon and she was telling me how good I was looking and that my hair was looking really nice. I told her I still would like to loose about 10 more lbs. She told me not to loose any more than the 10 lbs. So I very excited to be here at the end and so now, it's almost time for maintenace. I weighed 154 lbs with my cloths on and at home I weigh in at 149 lbs. Yayyyyyyy! So happy and also scared that I won't be able to maintain my weight. If it's not one thing, it's another. :)

Oh congratulations!! You know, all of us have spent years and years trying to lose weight... the idea of maintaining weight seems a bit foreign to me. I sure hope I get there one day!

Yay!! Congrats on getting to goal! :) You'll have to tell us what it feels like to maintain instead of being actively involved in losing weight! :)

Congrats!!! I'm so happy to hear this :) I am thinking about making an appointment with my surgeon to talk about goal weights (we never did...) since I lost a lot more than I anticipated (NOT that i'm complaining!) in only 8 months. My next appointment technically is still 4-5 months away (at the 1 year mark)... I don't know where/when I should stop! And i'm starting to worry about the HOW lol!

Congrats again! Thanks for sharing

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
