I think you already knowbthe answer. Start with the Boot Camp and go back to square one. Five days of liquid only and start back on the road that made you successful. You can do this!

So happy to see someone with the same issue!!! I too am a little over one year out (15 months actually) and while it is very hard for me to sit and eat a "meal" I don't have any trouble eating a few pieces of candy or something sweet! It almost makes me wish I had gone the bypass route where I would be so afraid of dumping, that I would stay completely away from sweets!!

I too know the answer.....DON'T EAT IT! But it's not that easy.

Just wanted you to know you are not alone!

Thank You!!! It's really not that easy but am trying!!

I started a new diet focusing mainly on fluids couple of days ago (and i am suffering to stay away from sweets.). hopefully it'll do the job..

You aren't eating enough Proteins. My doc said focus on them first then there'll be very little room for anything else. Try the Protein ready to drinks, I think they'll satisfy your sweet cravings.

Out of curiosity, is it causing weight gain for you? Also, do you find that you can eat a lot of junk or does the sleeve stop you from gorging?

I made a little tracker when I was pre op and trying to overcome head hunger. I imagine I'll go back to using it as soon as I can eat foods again. It says "Ignoring Head Hunger" at the top and has a space where I can clip up a numbered card to keep score of my days. I have it hanging on the pantry door.

I went back to zero a few times, mostly because I had a planned celebration. It did help me with impulse eating when I was able to ask myself if something was worth going back to 0. I also used it as the basis for nonfood rewards.

I bought the book SKINNY RULES by Bob Harper. That's what I plan to live by after I have no food restrictions which will be July 30. Protein first always. Live on fish.

No it's not causing weight gain for me..but I stopped losing for a long time now :( and about junk food I noticed that I can eat more of it easier than other food ..still the sleeve stops me at some point ofcourse..thats why I really need to be more careful..I started to write down everything I have during the day, something like food diary..hope it'll help..

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
