I'm also four weeks out and started experiencing some nausea, especially early in the morning. First thing I do now is to get a glass of Water down and I've upped my water intake considerably so I am getting more than 70 ounces and that has really helped me.

I found that nausea was actually my body telling me to eat Breakfast. I was never a breakfast eater. Now I get up and go grab a shake right after I go to the bathroom in the AM. It stops the nausea almost immediately!

One trigger for nausea is in fact your stomach saying you should eat something. Try a little something, even broth, and see if that helps.

A drop of peppermint oil will soothe nausea.

Its probably deyhdration.

I have had slight morning nausea since surgery (now 10 weeks out) and I do get my 65oz of liquid in.... but have taken to drinking 8oz right before bed at night and 8oz as soon as I get up and no more nausea!

Now... I do get the spins, the tingles and/or sick if I eat too fast or too much. But thats a different topic all together!

Try the Water before/after bed. It should help.

I am new to the forum and I'm suffering from extreme nausea. I've done ginger tea, etc but finally im taking some medicine to sort of help. I am 6 weeks post op and down 72 pounds. Unfortunately I've had several set backs. So it hasn't been the best start. Any help with nausea would be great! Thanks for reading.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
