When To Expect My First Stall?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering from some of the others how long were you into your sleeved journey before you experienced your first stall and how long did it last?

It varies for everyone. Tuesday will be 4 weeks for me and I haven't had one yet. (Knock on wood!)

Usually the 3 week stall is the most common first one but you will have stalls often :) Don't worry,as always with hard work and dedication they shall pass :)

Throw away the scale.... then you will never know if you have a stall :) I only weigh at the NUT and I don't see her all the time

Two weeks after surgery for me. I'm now almost 7 weeks out and in the second two week stall. This is not going to be easy-breezy for me, I'm afraid.

I'm coming up on 9 week sleeved and 6+ weeks stalled.

I don't weigh myself at home so I can't pinpoint when the stall started, and I guess I can't say for sure that it's still on, but last week when I was weighed, I weighed the exact same that I weighed when I went to the doctor between 3 - 4 weeks post-op.

As for what to expect, most people stall week 2 or 3, and it tends to last a week or two.

I am a May 1 st girl, and I've been bouncing the same 2-4 lbs for a week now. I'm having a hard time getting over 300-400 cal per day and even hard to get in all the fluids needed, so I'm sure body is in save mode. I'm trying to resolve to the belief that I can't stay 240# on 400 calories a day, forever.,,,,, can I?????

This is the thing we must all remember. WE CAN'T STAY HEAVY EATING SO LITTLE OF THE RIGHT food. Stalls are temporary. Though they P*SS us all off, it's essential for our bodies to catch up. I hit mine at just over 2 weeks out. It lasted almost 2 weeks. In that time my husband hid the scale and told me only once a week will I weigh. I thank him now. Was mad then. As long as you're not sucking down milkshakes and eating m&m's, you'll lose wight. Relax, enjoy the new experiences. You'll look back and laugh. (At least that's what I tell myself lol)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
