Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and am excited to meet you all. I had my VSG surgery on March 1st (3 months) and have a question for the seasoned bariatric members: how many meals a day do you eat? I find that I'm eating about 3-4 meals per day, but am worried that 4 is too much as far as long term weight management goes. Granted, they're small (<200) calorie meals for the most part, but I often get nauseated if I only have 3 meals.

Thoughts? Thanks! :)

I'm not seasoned, but I usually eat 3 meals with 1 or 2 Snacks. I need to in order to get my calories anywhere near where they should be (I'm still trying to up them a bit). It also helps space out the Protein, so I can get away from Protein Drinks.< /p>

I eat all day long. At least 6 times a day. We eat so little that every 2 to 3 hours I'm taking a bite of some kind of Protein or veggie. During the week, it seems I eat way less than the weekends though.

Oh yes, good point. 5 meals a day * an average of 45 - 60 mins per meal -- yes, it does feel like we eat all day.

I started with six meal/snacks per day and dropped that back to five after a few weeks as I could then get enough nutrition in five by then and Breakfast and lunch were close enough in time that I could skip a morning snack. Now, in maintenance, I'm back to six a day to get in enough nutrition and calories (2000ish now) to be stable.

I eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 Snacks but sometimes my meals and snacks look exactly the same...protein Protein protein.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
