There are any of a number of reasons to be worried, but this isn't one of them. Your body has just gone through truama. Allow it to recover. If you follow the plan and stay on the diet, you'll lose. Just relax. It doesn't happen overnight. You will get there.

Calm down...... It took me a week to get back to my pre-op weight!! You gain weight in the hospital between the IV fluids, gases used during the operation , etc..... What you are experiencing is NORMAL!! :)

Thanks. I knew I was freaking out for no reason. Makes me feel better that it is normal. Of course it doesn't help that my hubby (we had surgery the same day) has lost 10 since surgery. Lol you guys made me feel better. Thank you!

Barrbdoll is right. I walked out of the hospital 10 pounds heavier. Give it time. I know I expected it to just fall off after surgery. It was like I went through all of this and only this much. It's a journey. Take time and actually enjoy it. It's all new experiences and feelings. Happy moments of little victories. Congrats on being sleeved. :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
