Diarrhea Since Sleeve?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am 5 months out of my band to sleeve surgery and I seem to have bouts of diarrhea at least 2 to3 times a week. I mean run to the restroom type. I can't seem to connect it to a food or any certain foods. I have tried to eat slower and eat a much smaller amount. I go to see out nutritionist this morning and I hope she has answers. I also had my gallbaldder out because I did have stones. Any help is much appreciated!

I would ask the Dr for sure. I have had a few upset tummy episodes lately and it seems to be after eating ( maybe too fast?) Once was with drinking some milk after dinner...tummy didnt like that! I have tried milk since with no problem tho. The other was after eating I had a glass of wine...soooo didnt like that, I got the sweats and tummy issues so I am not sure what was the deal with that one. I just think my sleeve/intestines get more sensitive sometimes... Good old trial and error is all I can do I guess. Good luck to you.

Your problem may be associated with having your gall bladder out. The gall bladder would hold bile to be secreted to aid with digestion , but with the fall bladder gone, that bile is secreted directly into your intestines when you eat. At least, this is how it was explained to me after having my gall bladder out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
