Durham, North Carolina?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on November 27th in Fayetteville. I'm down 17 pounds and feeling pretty good. My first week was rough, my hemoglobin dropped low so I was so weak but now I'm back at it strong. I'm so glad I made the decision to have this done.

Dr. Tyner did my surgery on 2/15. He fixed a hernia I didn't know I had. I like his vibe and it went smooth. The nursing staff at Rex is top notch, if you're on the 7th floor one of the nurses has had the surgery and was great resource. Just walk as much as you can.

If any one needs a unopened bag of Bariatric Advantage (vanilla). Let me know. I found a premade shake that works better for me.

I am in Raleigh. I am waiting on insurance approval and then my work schedule to lighten. I am hoping by May. I am planning on vsg by Dr. Yoo at Duke. I have not been real good about pre op diet because it seems so unreal not knowing when it will be. Also, i never was real good at dieting, hence the need for the vsg. Would love to have a mentor, hope in a year i can be one.

Congrats on finding Dr Yoo. I would have used him but I was self-pay & could not afford his cost. I wish you the best!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
