Morning! Ive noticed in the last few weeks that my skin is very flaky, more so than I ever remember. Its everything from my hands, to my feet, to my ears to my nose... Anyone else experience this?

Absolutely....it's flaking everywhere! I just started using coconut oil after I shower, which has had a vast improvement....except for my poor calloused feet. My friend the RD says that this will continue until liquid and fat intake is increased.....just swell >.<

Don't know if this will help, but my dad, not a sleever, had an allergic reaction to artificial sweeteners, that caused his skin to become flaky. When he stopped taking it in his coffee, his skin got better.

most likely dehydration.....you gotta up that Water intake! my skin has never been softer and more radiant then now...and I know it is all attributed to drinking my weight in water (not really that much..lol) I love it!!! especially since at my heaviest i had these little pimple like bumps all over my arms, legs and butt. I am sooo thankful to report that all of those nasty bumps are gone!! good luck.....and drink drink drink! :D

I had dry/flakey skin, all over. Went to the ER,not for dry skin :) and was told I was dehydrated. As soon as I was able to get my fluids in,the dry skin went away.

Water, water, water and more water. Don't use artificial anything! It's just not good for you or your health. If you need a sweetener use agave Syrup or a natural source of sweetener. A couple more calories is better than putting anything artificial or 'poison' in your body. Also, you just might need a little oil in your diet. Try some hummus with olive oil in it. Or, even better eat an avocado a day!

That's my two cents.

Thank you! I went from drinking nearly a gallon of Water a day pre-op to sipping, sipping and sipping. Its a hard transition. Luckily, I've never been one to drink anything other than water and tea so my choices are pretty good for hydration. I will try the oil and I've just started to add avocado to my diet. This is one of those things that no one ever really says anything about. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
