Thanks Sue :)

That punching bag takes alot of flack from me hehe. It is great to get out frustration every now and then :)

The one thing that has come home with me since posting this, due to a few other things going on, is that while I may be drawing to an end of my physical journey..my emotional journey and changes still have a way to go.

I am generally pretty happy and healthy..but there are certain people who are negative influences on my life, and got into my life when I wasnt neither happy or healthy, and I have to be ready to let them go to really finally move forward, but that is the hard part..leaving people that wanted to know when I was the other person but are now not good for me. I expect more from people in my life, the same way I expect more from myself...sorry kind of a took a segway on that...

The fact that you recognise the problem, the cause and the solution means that your probably further down the emotional journey road than you think. Good luck. Never easy, but sounds like it has to be done.

I think we have all experienced those 'toxic' friends. You know the ones I mean - the ones that rejoice in your failures but can't quite be happy when you have success!

I am older than you so have come across people that I considered friends but ended up being losers through my life. You will find that you will drift away from these people and start to attract people that want the same things out if life that you want and now know you can have! I was trying to see if there were any hunky prospective sparing partners for you in the background of your gym video!!

The funny thing I have found is that I have reconnected with old friends that I think I had isolated myself from. I didn't want them to see how big I had got! I was so self conscious!

I was able to get rid of nearly all mine but i cant get rid of one and hes not going anywhere as he is my girls dad <_< however, i can limit the amount he is in my life and i actively choose that!!

I'm sure you'll do what's right for you. I think a piece of the puzzle for a lot of us is that we're not too good a putting ourselves first. Not sure its an issue for you, but i know it's something that I'm working on. Not sure how old you are but I'm getting the impression that if you were my daughter I'd want it sorted sooner rather than later! All the best, Deano.

Hi Aussiegirl, your video is amazing!!!!!! Congratulations on a job 'well done'!!!!!!!

Changing the way that you live your life is a BIG challenge and often this change involves identifying people that no longer provide a positive influence in our lives and deciding whether we can live with them or that we need to move on.

It's not easy, but it is really liberating and you will know when the time is right to make these decisions.

Again, congratulations on your success and thanks for sharing your story.

AussieLady, I embeded the video in the following topic http://www.verticals...52-nsv-changes/..hopefully you can view it there :)

Shell - WAY to go *insert happy dance*...you look awesome.

Thank you all for your feedback and comments, especially about the video and the negative people. I know I have to walk away from this person, but he was my biggest supporter over the last year, being there encouraging me for almost every challenge I set myself. But he lies to me, about things that are not worth it, so how can I believe what he says about me...his actions and words dont aline and it just does my head in. Talking to him about it only leads to more lies..anyway I will find a way to put some distance be healthy mind and spirit.

New Year...finally New ME!!

BTW I am open to be set up if anyone know and nice elligible single men hahaha:)

I don't really know any eligible men sorry but I can say that you should never feel guilty about leaving this person behind just because he supported you over the last year, that means jack sh*t if he is doing other things like lying or deliberately deceiving you. He is still betraying your trust and doesn't have enough respect for you to tell you the truth. And weight doesn't even play a part in this, everyone deserves respect not matter what their size. This is all about you, and I think you know in your heart what u need to do to make yourself happy. You have worked hard, deliberately chosen a more positive life and need to surround yourself with positive people to fulfil this. Go and live your bliss, you deserve it, you deserve all the love compassion and respect in the world xxx

Aussiegirl - if you're worried about giving this guy the flick, maybe just consider that in doing so, you might be giving this person the chance to learn and grow. Ultimately you'll be doing yourself and him a favour by being honest - particularly if he has trouble doing so!!

And you'll be amazed by how many opportunities will now come your way once you cut loose of the things keeping you tied to your past behaviour! Bring on 2013, huh???

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
