I have the opposite issue. I seem to smell less than before. I'm not sure why. But hey I'm not complaining.

Now this is TMI here. But..... I've noticed a difference 'down there'.... In a good way. Lol. I think it's the diet change and I'm drinking much more than I've ever drank.

Ha! I just replied to a thread about bad breath. I totally was super stinky. It's getting better now- OR a rat doesn't smell their own cheese. Lol! Anyhow- super stanky. Bad breath, urine and body odor. Even tho I was stinky I was super clean in the effort of trying to stay stench free.

Lol. Exactly. Amazing how the body works. I guess it's true... You are what you eat.

jd,

I noticed the same thing. I have never had bo, but ever since the surgery I have noticed the same smelly arm pits. I have changed deodorants several times. If anyone has the answer to why, I would like to know also.

I know I am out of place in this thread but might I put forth my theory?

Burning fat and eating less may release toxins that are excreted out of these various places. I have fasted at times and my breath was lethal, ketosis does that. I would think that eventually the smells would leave as the body cleans up itself. Water speeds it along and proper elimination.

Like I said, just a theory.

Ok, I will duck out.:)

I agree with gman. Also, it could be the extra estrogen too. A lot of that is dumped into the body (of both males and females) as fat melts. It's kind of like going through puberty all over again... Sweaty, zitty, and umm, excuse the expression, horny. Yep, that kinda covers it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
