I use Cooking Light which one of the books calls for 5 ingredients or less. I also came upon a magazine called Clean Eating that is really awesome! You can find both at the grocery store.

I think it also has the goal in mind to make you feel fuller longer otherwise the liquid helps slide the solid food through faster than it normally would. I guess doing the two together can also cause a false sense of fullness or vice versa.

you can easily go up 5-6 pounds in a week, and then lose it. I would totally do that and save yourself time. good luck!

I cried while I was waiting for anesthesia because I was so scared. No regrets though, well maybe when I woke up from surgery, but it gets better! Be nervous because a new life awaits you! I am happy for you that you are happy!

NickMac......me too! I did good post surgery and then 2 months out I took the sip I so longed for and then it turned into choosing it over water. I started sweating a lot and getting hot. Pre-surgery I could do a 24 pack. What is it about it? I never liked coke so it wasn't like I was choosing to drink the diet version. There should be Diet Coke Anonymous..right?

So I have a question for more advanced sleevers. If I have got off track for about 2 weeks now, does that mean my sleeve is ruined and won't be effective anymore? Or, will it simply bounce right back to doing its job when i'm back on track? I don't ever want to get in this type of predicament again but beware it happens....... even after surgery!

I was a diet cokeaholic before surgery, easily downing a 24 pack a day.. I eventually got off it b4 surgery. 2 months out I had a craving for it and it went down fine. I ended up drinking more and more as the weeks went on which meant less water. More striking was the cravings I started to have for salt and sugar. Everything tastes so good with DC. I cannot keep it in the fridge because I will choose it over water every time. If you were addicted I would not try it because now I need to get off it again. I was honest with my doctor and he said the carbonation is not good for the stomach. He said it wasn't a big deal but that I would not receive his blessing to drink it. As for stretching, he did not give me a definitive answer but said "it could." I would not recommend even trying it because you will go back to your old habits......even if it means not as much.......it still feels bad to go back.
