Ugh! I'M getting so nervous reading all of your posts!! I HONESTLY am more nervous for this surgery than I ever was for my lumpectomy!! I guess I should start to clean out my drawers and my closet too! I still need to by liq tylenol, and a few other things.

Yep, May 17 for me with Dr Garcia. Had a eroded lapband out on 24th January here in Alberta, but just couldn't wait for all the hoops to get the surgery here!!

Getting the lapband out was harder than I thought, so the sleeve will be a walk in the park compared to that!

I cannot wait to meet Dr. Garcia in person and start this whole thing. I have heard wonderful things about him from so many people. Congrats.

I just did my pre admission testing. EKG blood work chest X-ray. All good!! I am really getting nervous. Not of the surgery more of the fact that my god they are removing part of my stomach. For good!! I look at skinny people and hate them. Why can't I do it without this. But I can't.

I'm on day 7 of the pre-op diet and feeling tired today. But I know it is all worth it, I to wish I could do this without the surgery I can for a while then it comes back. So this is a must for me to become healthy for myself.

Just had my consultation today & set my date for May 14th or 15th (they have to verify with the hospital to know which day for sure). I'm at peace about the surgery, but nervous about getting all the preop tests & such done in the next few weeks since I'm in college & have finals now too, but I really don't want to wait on the surgery, so I'll make it work somehow!!

Hey Kansas girl! I am scheduled for May 15th with Dr. Ponce @ INT. I can't wait for you to share your experience!

I was just in Kansas last week! My son is going to attend Ottawa University in the fall 2012!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
