  1. Hey girl! We had our sleeves done right around the same time. I am also pregnant, my due date is NYE! I am scheduled for my U/S on Monday and I cannot wait to find out what we are having!
  2. I was sleeved 5/16 and I feel like I have been stuck for awhile! I have to stop snacking! I know if I get back to the basics and stick with protein, water and excersize the pounds will come off. It's just a lack of motivation I suppose. Good luck!

  4. I have lost about 50 lbs since surgery on May 16th.
  5. Yes clothes shopping is MUCH better! But I feel like I don't want to buy alot because I don't want to be in the size very long! haha. And some jeans fit better than others. I am so happy though to be out of the "plus" sizes!
  6. I had surgery May 16th and I have lost about 60 pounds post op. I have noticed my hair feels finer, like it's hard for it to stay in a ponytail, it just slips out! I think bringing back a protein shake would be a good idea. I am going to try that. I have been terrible at tracking my food and water so I really want to get back on track with that. Chrysler, have you tried taking any biotin? I think that is good for helping hair regrowth. I know it's inevitable we lose some hair, but it will grow back.

  8. Another thing I wanted to add is that even though you are not losing pounds you will be losing inches. My clothes stlll managed to get looser even though the scale was stuck....I even went out and got a new scale cuz I was convinced it was busted! hahaha
  9. I was basically stuck at the same weight from week 3- week 6. It picked right back up again It's normal to feel like your not doing something right. But your doing great!
  10. Just about a week and your there! Are you getting excited? I remember feeling a little nervous, but on the day of surgery I felt completely fine, and not nervous at all. I am so excited for you!! Please keep us posted!
  11. I didn't take measurements either. Now that I am 4 weeks post op I wish I did. I didn't have the measuring tape and kept telling myself to get one, but never remembered. Oh well.
  12. Dr. Meireles is awesome! I have had a great experience having him as my surgeon. He has done many VSG's. I made sure to ask him about that. Good luck!
  13. I know! It seems like everyone has a different diet! I did try retried beans with a little salsa, cheese and sour cream. I just couldn't stomach it. I don't know if the feeling I get when I eat I'd normal. It just feels funny and it makes me queasy. It is similar to that feeling I would get in my pre-op days when you would get so hungry you would feel nauseas. So I don't know? My NUT wants me to strictly stick to protein as my meal. Refrained beans were not on the list, but I did it anyways. As far as scrambled eggs, I can only do egg whites. And I really wish I liked tuna, because that would be easy!
  14. Thanks Terri, I am following the instructions of my NUT. My first week I was liquids, then 2nd week creamed soups. Yesterday was my 2 week mark so I guess I am actually into my 3rd week. So I don't think I am progressing to fast. I am by no means eating solid food. Everything needs to be ground and very moist.
  15. Anyone else out there experience this? I did great with liquids, then creamed soups and yogurts, but this is day 2 of being on soft/ground foods and I feel nauseas when I eat. I have tried chicken salad, turkey meatballs with sauce, scrambled eggs. I don't know if it's the foods or what? I need to eat because if not I need to drink protein shakes, and I'm getting very tired of them! Any help, or advice would be great!
  16. I am doing pretty good. I am down 17 pounds since surgery, 31 pounds since I started the program on 1/16. I really want to chew food! As I write this my family is grilling steak tips on the grill and mentally I think I am hungry, but I know I am not. I have been having dreams the past 2 nights about chewing food and spitting it out because I knew it wasn't the right thing to do. Wednesday I have an appt with the NUT so I will then be moving onto ground/soft food I am pretty excited about that : ) I started to vlog my journey on YouTube if anyone is interested?
