I am 3 days post op and I am supposed to be on clear liquid diet for days 1-7. My doctors instructions are that I need to drink 48oz. of Fluid and 40g of Protein. It also states I am to use 1-2 approved protein supplements. Just trying to figure out if I should make a Jay Robb whey Protein Shake and does it qualify as a clear liquid? It also says I can have skim milk or soy milk. I just don't think of those items as "clear" liquids. Any help appreciated !

I had my surgery in Tijuana on a Monday and I flew back to Iowa on Friday. I did not have any Protein Shakes or milk products until I got back home. All I had while in Mexico was Water, gatorade, popsicle, Jello, and chicken broth.< /p>

Sounds like they want you on clears EXCEPT for milk/protein shakes. There are very few clear shakes out there (Isopure is the only one I know of).

I am on Clear Liquids with the exception of Protein Shakes made with Water. I purchased Protein shakes from my docs office which included Chike shakes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
