I Know This New Beginning Started With My Surgery

Recommended Posts

Today was a good day. I'm a year post op. My a baker by trade. I've been at my job as a baker for 3 years. I come from a long line of bakers in my family ( though I didn't find this out until after I got the job). After surgery, I quickly worked my way into management and today I was offered my own bakery in the company!!! I'll be moving to the new bakery just after Easter. I truly believe my surgery gave me a new lease on life and a strange and wonderful feeling of confidence. I can't wait!!!! ; )

May I ask how you got your tracker on your signature? I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

To add a tracker to your signature. Click on my tracker, configure your tracker. Copy your URL code and then go to your profile page on VST.com. Click on edit your profile in upper right hand column and on right side of page, click on signature. Then scroll down and click on edit bax. Add any info you would like other people to see and paste your tracker right there. Then click the save at bottom of box. ;)

Haha! A lot of people say this, but I just really come prepared with options for Snacks and lunches. Pair this with long distance running and a little more carbs here and there aren't too bad for me. Besides, hauling heavy dough around every day is a work out in itself!!!

Thank you all for the lovely comments! I knew you guys would understand that new found feeling of self worth : )

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
