Need An Opinion. I Could Be Psyching Myself Out.

Recommended Posts

As of today, I am 5 weeks out and officially in a stall. I've had a very easy time of it so far, except for the past 2 days. I feel like I have restriction now and even drinking Water hurts a little.

No vomiting, a little bit of nausea, no severe pains, but my tummy does have a dull ache that doesn't seem to go away. No trouble breathing. I also feel bloated. I know I should be starting my period, but it hasn't happened yet. I've been passing gas just fine, but right before I do pass gas, it builds up and hurts for a bit.

However, I have been driving my hubby's car which has NO power steering and is a stick shift.

I don't know if this is normal and I'm just psyching myself out or something else. LOL!

Do you still have a gallbladder? It sounds a little like gallbladder inflammation. Maybe give your doc a call and see if you can get an ultrasound.

I haven't had my period since 2010 (endometrial ablation) and I just has the worst period and pain for the past couple of days. I am set for an ultrasound next week and had a pelvic exam today. Get checked out.

So this morning I emailed my surgeon the above info.

He responded:

Hi Tiffani

I don't think it's a leak. You may retain Fluid before periods and that causes tissues swelling and ur sleeve may get somewhat more narrow. Continue meds and let's talk in a week or two if these signs persist."

That eases my mind a little bit, but I will say nothing has been getting worse, it's just saying the same and when I take tylenol, the pain goes away. My hubby thinks I pulled a muscle, but it seriously is just my tummy hurting, nothing else.

So that's the update for now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
