If you are just starting purees, 2-3 oz of food is probably going to make you full. If you puree the ground beef in some kind of liquid (tomato sauce maybe?), then it should be okay to eat. I really liked refried Beans with some cheese in them during purees. I also pureed some Wendy's chili and some dinty moore beef stew to eat. A few teaspoons was more than enough of any of them.

I made my kids taco's the other day and I took about 4 oz of plain ground beef and mixed it with Unjury cheese sauce( 20 grams of protien) and it tasetd great just like a nacho Soup without the chip. I did not eat the whole 4 oz though.

Definately eat slowly and have 2-3oz. I'm still on that. I was rushing to class and had a tablespoon of pureed ground turkey in spinach Soup, swallowed and it felt really stuck in my chest- kinda painful. I froze and turned to the sink and threw it up. Lesson learned! Take your time, chew and take small portions.

When you puree foods do you just put them in the blender together? Or do you need a food processor or something. Im not a good cook so I dont know much about cooking.

Thanks guys. And I just put my food in my ninja or magic bullet. Just any food processor. I feel like I can eat way too easily. It's been a week post opp and I had a scrambled edd with cheese for Breakfast and 3oz of lean taco meat with some cheese for lunch. Had a couple no sugar added fudge pops. Had 2 Protein Shakes. And I feel fine. I could probably eat more but don't wanna push it. I hope this is ok.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
