I had my two week follow-up appointment today. I already feel back to myself (except for eating of course)! My appointment went great. The doctor commented that I have had a smooth, above-average recovery. I never had any vomitting and I have been tolerating all of the foods that I have been instructed to eat. In the past four weeks (two weeks of Optifast and two weeks post-op) I have lost 29 lbs! My clothes are already getting baggy, and my blood pressure medicine was decreased today (started feeling light-headed). I was told things could and would change this quickly but I never actually thought they would!

I am still getting used to my "new" stomach and the new way of eating. I need to master stopping one bite before getting that tight/uncomfortable feeling instead of one bite after. I was advanced from puree to soft/moist Proteins today with a little bit of vegetables.

I am extremely happy with my results and blessed that I have had such a smooth experience to date!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
