I Got Gastric Sleeve Surgery Dec 6th!

Recommended Posts

I got sleeved on Tuesday and feel good now. I still burp when drinking but it isn't as bad. My favorite liquid meal is 3 oz of Myoplex chocolate Protein Shake with 3 oz of Water added, then I put in a teaspoon of the new low sugar Almond Joy coffee creamer. It tastes like I'm drinking a liquid Almond Joy candy! yumm!! I also like Sobe Pom Punch life water. What is everyone's favorite drinks? I have to be on liquids for 3 weeks while my sleeve heals up.

Wow you got yours 2 years ago! How are you feeling?

I feel absolutely amazing! Believe me, I have never once regretted getting the sleeve. It is definitely the best thing to ever happen to me.

Congrats, glad you are doing so well! I haven't been sleeved yet (4 days to go:) but on my liquid preop diet I have found that the Jay Robb whey powder with skim milk and a splash of sugar free Torani Syrup is delicious. The Almond Joy sounds great too! Keep us posted!

I was also sleeved on Tuesday, December 6th. My taste has SO changed ~ just the thought of broth, Jello, muscle milk, chewable vitamins, AND powdered Protein makes me sick ack2.gif I can begin to incorporate cream Soups after being home from hospital 3-7 days (I'm going to try on Sunday). Congrats on your sleeve!! I can't wait to step out this summer with a new body :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
