Is Something Wrong With Me?

Recommended Posts

I just had surgery on Wednesday. I am wondering if I am drinking too much. I make 2 quarts of crystal light in the moring and by 8 it is gone. I still seem to have room for food. Today, I drank an 8oz Protein Drink, a coule baby sppon bites of my 7 month olds very thin cream of wheat, about a 1/2 cup of strained creamy chicken Soup and 1/4 cup of spaghetti (sp?) sauce. On top of that,I have already finished my 2 quarts of crystal light. Am i consuming too much?? I am worried that I am over doing it. I don't take big gulps or anything like that;I just literally drink ALL day long. The day after surgery i couldnt even get 8 oz in. Is this okay or normal? Have any of you been through this??

Are you having any pain? Are you going potty normally? If not, then I wouldn't be too worried. Basically, everything you're drinking seems to be liquid, and liquid goes through much faster and easier than solids will. If you're truly concerned, then call your doctor. If you aren't "worried", then wait and see what kind of restriction you get when you switch to mushies and solids.

This is exactly how I feel I just asked the same question actually I still don't care to eat but I could sip all day it helps me not feel nausea to I don't want to stop because I know I have stayed in the guide lines I am curious if I could have more Fluid though, but I don't want to break the staples and cause a tear I am so scared.

In the beginning, I felt like I was taking in too much but in reality, the liquid phase is very different from the next phases in your diet. As long as you are not getting pain or vomiting you are doing what you should be. It wasn't until I had real food that I felt I was eating the recommended amount. Congrats on your journey!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
