December sleevers!

Recommended Posts

Well I am hoping my fellow Dec 2011 sleevers are having ajoyeous holiday and still rocking those sleeves. Would love to hear some updates!!!

I lost 160# in total now and maintaining at 147-150 range. I had plastic reconstructive surgery for excess skin and feel like a million bucks. My life has become so full and fun, cup runneth over... Yes there are life struggles but everything is easier when you feel good.

This sleeve is the best thing I ever did for myself...well...maybe my college education was the best but this was right up there!!!

It is the best decision I ever made. I didn't reach my goal by I'm happy with where I am. I stay within 3 lbs of my lowest weight since surgery having lost 65 lbs. I still struggle to stay away from the carbs. Having surgery on Thursday to repair 2 hernias. One had been repaired twice before. I was much heavier then so I'm hoping now that I'm thinner the repair will work. While the surgeon is in there he is going to remove the excess skin. My daughter is getting married in May and I will be rocking my mother of the bride dress!

Had my sleeve Dec. 21st 2011. Still not at my goal weight but I'm still working out and eating my Protein. Just got diagnosed with a bad gallbladder so having it taken out in two weeks. Hopefully I can get back to my workouts quickly!!!! Curious if anyone else ended up having to take their gallbladders out post-surgery?

:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
