tomorrow's the day!!!

I'm having the surgery tomorrow! I'm so nervous! I "cheated" once or twice on my two-week liquid fast but have still lost about 15 pounds on it (and 25 pounds altogether since September) and I feel completely committed at this point and really good about things. Still though, obviously I'm nervous. I've had three other surgeries so am not as worried about that, as about possible complications, and learning to eat again. But I know that if I follow the guidelines and use some of the tools I have (Overeaters Anonymous, friends & family, therapy & the net) I will be fine.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning :) and I will be sure to start posting on this forum more often, I really could use the support!

P.S. I didn't even realize until reading this forum that there are different pouch (bougie?) sizes...I've never discussed this with my surgeon, would it be out of line to ask him for a really small one, right before surgery? Hah.

I would advise that you DO have a discussion about bougie size. I think it's not a good thing that these issues are not discussed in the surgeon's office prior to the op. I would have opted for a smaller one had I even known that there was such a possibility. Good luck with your op. I have been happy with mine, no regrets, but I still suffer from my bad habits and gain weight, but I will never be able to get back to the dizzying heights of my highest weight again. Have that discussion!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
