I take the sublingual high potency B-12 2500mcg from Walmart but i got the one that is natural cherry flavored because normal B-12 does not taste good at all. I also take my flinstone chewable vit and chewable vit c and my liqiud reflux meds and that boitin for Hair loss. I thought that i would jump on that before i started to see loss because my hair is so thin any way i can not stand to loose much more.

Renogirl, i learned about the Vitamin reccomdations in my nutrition class, are you pre or post op? according to my nutrionist you need 1200-1500 mg of Calcium DAILY. 2 chewable mutlivitamins twice daily. Starting week 4, 500 mcg a day of B12 sublingual. All these Vitamins are very important.

then according to my booklet from nut starting week 8 you need 1 complete multi Vitamin, 1200 mg of calcium, 500mcg of B12 sublingual and 18 mg of Iron for menstruating females.

How have you been feeling since your surgery?

I am absolutely no expert, im still pre op (approved, just waiting on the mail for my letter GRR) but im sure from everything that ive read researched and been told, you need the Calcium for osteoporosis, our bones are a lot more brittle. Not enough Iron and you can become anemic (if you still have periods). Withought the B12 you can feel weak, fatigue or dizziness.

I would get in contact with your primary physican and have him run some bloodwork on your levels (like they did before surgery) and start taking the rest of your Vitamins ASAP.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
