Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery

  • Popular Post

HI Y'all,

I wanted to do some research with REAL people instead of reading about it in some report.

I'm wondering how much weight (IF ANY) you have gained since being sleeved. I go up between 1-3 lbs. so my answer would be 1-5 lbs.

I'm curious to see how this goes.

Thanks!

Thank you so much! I am sure this is going to be very helpful!

Boy i sure needed this . I am post op 6 weeks i lost 63- pounds more to go. i am. Age 57 .5"2 tall.

good job keep going keep your head up and look forward

I'm about 2 months out and were as most of the time I am loosing or maintaining...there have been a few times I have gone up a little...but no more than like 2lbs....mainly it is caused by constipation or period crap...a couple of times it's cause I have eaten horribly the day before and not gotten in enough liquid and protein :)

I'm only two months post op and have lost over 50lbs...definitely haven't gained. There was one week where I didn't lose, (I only weigh once per week so I don't make myself crazy) but the following week I had lost 6lbs, essentially catching right back up to the 3lb weekly weight loss I seem to be experiencing.

This post is talking about those who have gotten to goal or almost have made goal and have started gaining after the "honeymoon" period.

Feed your eye...nobody reads or if they do they re so eager to proclaim 'it int gonna happen to me!' Well, let them enjoy....

Im battling 200. D*mn it. What about you?

I had my surgery on 12/16/13 lost 91 pounds SW 293 then at 9 months after surgery I stopped loosing and have been in a yo yo mode since 8/14 I will gain up to 20, then loose it but never getting below my 202 (lowest weight but not goal). I have a protein shake for breakfast, 2.6 OZ Tuna snack mid morning, lettuce with humas for lunch, lettuce with dressing for supper. I had complications with my surgery, and still feel the effects, vomiting daily has become the norm. I moved far away from my surgeon, so I am going to a local doctor for the first time since surgery tomorrow to have my thyroid checked because my hair dresser thinks it may be bad as my hair is awful despite taking all of the supplements that I take.

I was sleeved 2/18/14. My starting weight was around 300, Day of surgery 278 and I dropped down to 198. However, I have been taking care of my dad and working a lot lately and have completely falling off but I don't know how. My weight has jumped to near 230 since February. I'm sooooo depressed. I need help bad.

so both the thyroid and parathyroid are fine. so no answers. Discovered I am anemic and the day of blood work back to 223. After seeing a specialist about my parathyroid on July 8 I decided to check my blood sugar

7/8 Weight 218.8

7/9 - 177 decided to re-evaluate everything going in my mouth

7/10 - 157 Weight 217.8

7/11 - 139 Weight 215.4

7/12 - 115 Weight 214.2

7/13 - 113 (mistake ate some craisans) Weight 213.8

7/14 - 128 Weight 213.6

I am cutting out artificial sweeteners which also means no more coffee, plus I began drinking the juice from one lemon daily mixed in Water. These by no means are secrets or fads, just doing what I need to do for me to try and figure out what is going on with my body. I have also made a point to eat Protein first, I carry pouches of tuna with me and when I am hungry that is my go to snack.
