  8. I got approval yesterday at 430 pm. I was sweating it !
  9. Mine is 2 shakes a day, one meal with 1tbsp olive oil or sf dressing veggies and 6 oz of protein. It is 3 weeks long. At first really hard but now it's nothing to me.
  10. I am 9 days from surgery and still waiting approval. I too have empire bcbs. I was told they were counting days so my original date of Nov 30 was moved up to January 18. May I ask what your BMI and co morbs are? I am just trying to get a feel if I will be approved.

  25. Anyone else feel like the waiting is watching paint to dry? Yesterday I got my hair done and I looked at myself in the mirror and I was so sad at how heavy I am. I Usually love getting my hair done but I just felt like a fat person with good hair. It really hit me hard. I haven't mentioned it to anyone until now. November 30 is so far away.... Even if I start on my own I won't see great results.
  26. I will say that when I have not used it I have caught myself waking up gasping for air. Very scary. I use my machine every single night. It's not something to be casual about.
  27. I have had cpap for 2 years now. I use the nasal pillows so there isn't a mask over your face. If I don't use it the next day my throat is sore and I can barely get out of bed. However by the time the morning comes I can't wait to rip it off my face lol!!!
  28. The waiting is killing me....
  29. Support group was great. People at all stages in process. I can't wait to go to next one.
  30. I too have been going to a therapist for some time and my surgery is in November. It scares me so much that my addiction will take over. I eat when I'm full to the point of where I feel sick. I keep working on it in therapy and I use self talk to tell myself I am not hungry and to not eat mindlessly. I wanted to try the preop diet for myself to test my level of commitment to this.
  31. I went to support group on Tuesday and it helped me tremendously. If your bariatric center offers it.,, go!
