Anyone Else Have Nighttime Reflux Coughing Or Vomitting?
I’ve had my band since 2016 and last month had .5ccs removed because an esophogram showed my band was too tight. I had awful reflux at night and aspirated twice. Now, I feel like I have no restriction and I’m so afraid of gaining weight. I can eat anything really and I’m hungry more frequently. I’m thinking of asking my surgeon to put some back in but I’m so afraid of the reflux again. The struggle, ugh.

Thought I was red, but was I really green?
In August I had my last fill of .3 ccs, bringing me to 7.1 total. I felt green for a long time. Then, in December I started to throw up frequently and I had awful acid reflux in the middle of the night. I would wake up choking on acid, gross. So last week I went back to my doctor and he removed .25 ccs. Now I feel like I made a mistake because I'm hungry earlier during the day and later at night than I have been. I'm also able to eat easier, I feel like I'm not restricted enough. Does anyone know if they are able to put in .1 cc? Anyone else have this experience? I definitely don't want to throw up often and have esophageal issues, but I don't want to gain weight either. Help! (I posted this in the basics forum first, sorry if it's a repeat for you.)

Stomach bug
My doctor told me if this ever happened to me to call him and go in and he would empty my band until I was better. I'd call my doctor if I were you. Good luck!

How many CCs does everyone have?
Jeannette, green zone is where you are restricted enough to not be hungry between meals. You are satisfied after eating a cup of food. Red zone is too much restriction and yellow is not enough.

How many CCs does everyone have?
Wow that's almost full! I wonder if some have to fill to the max?

How many CCs does everyone have?
I was also only restricted for a little while after my first three fills. But now that I know what the green zone feels like I understand true restriction. Good luck getting to your green zone too!

How many CCs does everyone have?
I now have 6.5 CCs in my band and I'm green! I wonder why no one wanted to answer this thread though. I know the amounts are different for anyone but I was just curious to see if there was an average. My doc said between 6-8 seems to be where most fall.

I'm curious to see how many CCs it took for everyone to get to their green zone. My band is a 10 CC band and I have 6 CCs in it but don't feel I'm green yet. How about everyone else?

Fills
I had Dr. Schwack as my surgeon from Dr. Fielding's office and my first fill had to be at least three weeks after surgery. They usually wait until 4. My first fill was today! They place the band in empty (some other offices have some saline already in them). I had 3.5 ccs put in today then I go back in 4 weeks to see how hungry I am and they will add either 1.5 or 1 more ccs. I hope this helps! It's different for every person in terms of the green zone. Good luck!

4 days post op...well, HELLO hunger!
It's different for each surgeon. I had to be on a thin liquid diet for 10 days post op then a puréed diet for 10 days.

Vitamin Recommendations
I also bought Biotin because I heard of banded having hair loss.

How much time did everyone have to take off of work?
I took off from Friday through the next Friday and I'm returning Monday.

I'm banded!
Walking and using Gas x strips really helped me. Good luck!

I'm banded!
Nygiants, the pain in my shoulders is gone but my wounds hurt now. Also, since I've been trying to lay on my back mostly, my back is killing me. I'm a side sleeper. It is still too uncomfortable to lay that way. Today will be my first day off pain meds and the swelling in my belly seems to be down so I'm hoping I'm almost out of the woods. How are you?
