About Me

  • Gender
    Female
My story begins in 2015 when my PCP had to put me on B/P medication and my sister had a heart attack and died at the age of 52. She was only 3 years older then me. This was my aha moment. In June of 2015 I started my weight loss at 225Lbs and started my classes for 6 month my insurance required. Went into  have the sleeve on January 2016 and my Dr found a blockage in my colon closed me back up without doing it. Sent me home to heal and find out why. My Dr called me 2 weeks later and said she would not do the sleeve due to my colon moving things through to slow however she would do a Lap band incase it had to be reversed for some reason in the future. I went in to have the realized band placed on 03/21/16 at a weight of 190.
2 weeks after i was off my B/P medication. I have a 10 cc band in, with 5 fills totaling 7cc. I am 9 months out weighing 169lbs.Just had my 5th fill last week and i finally feel restriction. I just turned 50 and have no regrets as this journey is for the rest of my life.
