All my life I have had big feet. The good thing is I've saved thousands I'm sure on shoes. I wondered with a big loss of weight (90-100lbs) if people have changed shoe sizes. I'm a 12 even to go to an 11 would give me more options...especially if there wasn't a W following that number. Just curious.

Well typically the LENGTH will not change just the width. My size 12 shoes rattle around and I have to tie them up real tight to keep from losing them. I suppose I could try a size 11 but I have a lot of 12's and still have a wide bridge.

I DO notice hat my feet are a lot more bony looking, but there never was a lot of meat on them as it was, just slightly less now.

Yeah, the width of my shoes changed a lot. I went from having to wear "extra wide" shoes to just normal size.

I gotta say, the ability to wear normal sized shoes, and the fact that my feet really don't hurt anymore... a HUGE improvement!

Lost width!!!!! i lost a size simply because I think I was compensating with bigger sizes to get a comfortable fit.

I teeter back and forth between a 7 and a 7 1/2.... almost always a 7 1/2 the last few years (pre-surgery), and ALWAYS a 2E or extra wide. Since surgery I'm able to get into 7s much more often, and very often just a W and sometimes just normal width. I'm LOVING that. :D

I'm still in size 12 shoes, but they are obviously loose. I never wore wides to begin with, so I'm hoping my current shoes are only loose from being broken in. There's no way feet as long as mine will comfortably fit into size 11 shoes. LOL

Also, hooray for women with big feet!

i have worn 8.5WW and 9W whenever I can actually find something to fit the width of my foot. I am now fitting in all of the 8W and 8.5W in my closet that I haven't been able to wear in years. I am hoping to go down to at least a consistent 8 and then I can buy some nice shoes again.

Im only on my pre op diet and went from a 9.5 to an 8.5. I thought it must be the cut of the shoe, so I tried 4 different kinds, from sandals to boots and they all had gone down one whole size.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
