Medifast after surgery

Recommended Posts

Hi all! My surgery is coming up and I have a few extra boxes of my medifast! Is it ok to use up my medifast as my Protein Drink after surgery? I'm cheap and dont want to waste it! LOL!

Just curious cause they dont offer you the option to buy the medifast after surgery! Thanks!

how many carbs does it have? And calories? Does it have enough Protein?

i just got off the clear liquid phase and now am onto puree. I have been finding it hard to get in Protein and food at this ppoint, so the last 2 days I have had my medifast shakes.

ex. dutch chocolate 70

110 calories

13 carbs

4 dietary Fiber

9 sugars

14 g protein

at this point i am focused on getting protein in. i didnt get much in earlier and i actually felt sick. our bodies definately need it to feel healthy.

good luck

As long as you get in your Protein for the day, they will be fine. I wouldn't want to waste them either. LOL

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
