Here I am!

Hello everyone! I was sleeved June 1, 2011 at Immanual Hospital in Omaha, NE by Dr. Tom White. I had an uncomplicated surgery and recovery. I went home the next afternoon and have had no real issues since! I feel fortunate for that. I am tolerating soft foods well now. The decision for me to get sleeved came about quite a while back when I had been having more complications from Pulmonary Hypertension and heart failure from my increasing weight. You see, with these problems, I was getting to where I couldn't even walk down a hall at work without getting short of breath. I am a Respiratory Therapist now, just graduated from nursing school, so this was getting pretty embarrassing and discouraging. My BMI was only at 35, but with these health issues, it was getting too difficult for me to even put shoes on. I am glad I had it done and am very thankful for this forum! I have learned so much from everyone. The only question I have is how to put the ticker on my profile!!!

Welcome Biglittleb! Congrats on your surgery and I'm happy that you have had no complications. I don't have the same health problems you have but I definitely understand the feeling of walking a short distance and feeling out of breath and the not be able to tie my shoes very well. It's not fun!

As far as your ticker. I went through http://lilyslim.com/..._loss_step1.php . Go through the 3 steps. Then the last screen will say "Ticker code snippets."

Look for this:

Forum signatures: HTMLEzboardPseudoHTML, UBBCode and BB Code

Click on:

UBBCode and BB Code

Then highlight and copy the entire URL in the light green box below what you just clicked on.

Then go under your "My Settings" under the "Signed on as....." on this forum. Click on "Forums" under "Your Options." Click on "Change Signature." Right click within the box they give you and paste. Then below that click "Save Changes." Your ticker should show up in a box right above that.

I hope that works for you. Good Luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
