i keep hearing about greek yogurt (which i like anyway), and i'm wondering why it's so much better than "regular" yogurt?

It has a higher Protein count. 20 grams per cup for the fatfree unsweetened that I use. I add Splenda to mine.

Just cause of the higher Protein actually. I love Oikos plain yogurt. my mom used to make yogurt when i was small and Oikos reminds me of hers. . exactly the same texture. . . yummm

It's in the way they make it. They end up squeezing a lot of the Water out, which means there is more of the milk Protein in it :) It's delicious with sugar free jam added. Fage is my favorite brand.

More protein! I also like the Fage brand. I buy the ones with a little fruit on the side that you pour over it and I put some granola in it too. Yum!

I used to buy those too but I'm in the phase now where I'm doing my pre-op diet and trying to lose weight quickly. The sooner I lose my weight, the sooner I can have surgery :) I gotta watch those carbs and sugar and the fruit mix that comes with the fage containers has like 14g of sugar or something like that. They are delicious though. So I substituted the SF jam so that I can get these last few pounds off faster and still enjoy my yummy greek yogurt.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
