ANY JUNE SLEEVERS OUT THERE???

Recommended Posts

Mine is June 8th! I am only 1 week from tomorrow!!! i can't wait for it to be here.

June 8th baby! I'm getting it done with Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana. In all honesty I'm more concerned with him seeing me naked bc that Dr. is HOT!!! (j/k...not really lol). Started my pre-op liquid diet on Monday. If I had started earlier I would have been allowed one small meal a day as well but I just couldn't get it together. But the nutritionist scolded me and told me to make it happen so that's what I'm doing. Can't wait!

I'm a June Jewel baby! (sorry....can't think of anything befitting for the men lol)

I'm having it on June 28th with Dr. Cavazos in San Antonio. He has not given me any specific diet other than 2 days prior. I still want to go on one as I have a lot of weight to lose. Any suggestions?

Greeting Jewels of June!! I am nearly a week post op and feeling very good. There is lots of room on this loser's bench (now that I am here it isn't really a bench more like a comfy set of chaise lounges) for all my fellow Jewels. Day Dreamer hope you well, Valentina my new BFF can't wait to hear from you again, newbty, mnbsleeve, slimsinger, Always singng, Neanie, I hope you are doing great and ready to rock your sleeve along with me!

By the way there isn't anything wrong with men being jewels! Diamonds are strong and tough! So are emeralds, topaz, onyx, jade, lapis, tiger eye, rubies, etc! I love male June Jewels they are strong, sensitive and not afraid to feel! So all you male Jewels of June here is a shout out from kwikwits....hope those who have had surgery like my surgery twin bert are all doing well! Every one who is counting the days until surgery you will arrive at your surgery and rock that sleeve because that's way June Jewels roll!

I am so happy to hear that you are doing well!!! Must feel so good to have the surgery over with and be on the path to your new life!! Were you able to go straight home from the hospital and take care of yourself after surgery or did you need someone to stay with you? Just wondering as I am single with one 9 year old daughter. People are trying to get me to stay at their house after surgery but I think I will be able to come home. 13 days till my sleeve!!!

Lissa girl you got this. The first week - no lie - is hard as hell. But everyday gets a little bit better!! I am 8 days out and just had my first non broth treat - a SF fudgy pop - it was like heaven. I still have issues getting Water in but I push, push and push!! I have not started focusing on Protein but I will today or tomorrow. Everything will be ok!!

Hi ABSGirl!

Sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. I was in the hospital for 3 days following my sleeve surgery. I would have liked to go home after two days but they are overly cautious at NYU Medical Center.

When I got out I did stay at a friends apartment mostly because I live in a walk-up and well we thought we'd see how I felt after a couple of days. I think you could go home to your little girl. You are going to be sore -- my abdomen felt like I did 1000 crunches. You can't lift anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks. But I was able to do most things. No I wasn't going to be changing linens and dragging the vacuum up the stairs but I could cook, wash dishes, etc. You tire easily until you figure out how to get some Protein and you must drink Water, Vitamin water, suck sugar free ice pops whatever. But staying hydrated is the most important thing that first week home.

2 weeks out and my water drinking is slipping. I have never been able to get in 5 Protein Shakes -- even pre surgery. I try. Get ones with higher protein counts and then you don't have to drink so many. Unjury chicken Soup is great when the sweet shakes are making you gag. Take it easy in the beginning . Even though they just poked holes into your abdomen doesn't mean having most of your stomach removed is like getting a teeth cleaning.

Also it is important to get enough rest while you are healing up. If staying with someone is going to allow someone to help you with your parenting responsibilities try it out for a few days. It helps to have help.

14 days and I have no regrets. I was down 30 pounds on 6/10 when I lasted was on a scale. Won't be back to the doctor until 6/23 and I only want to weigh in over there -- same scale and less chance of getting obsessed. Every NSV is a good thing too -- maybe even a better thing!

Good luck....your surgery date comes very quickly and your recovery is quick too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
